DIY 360 camera underwater housing with no refraction


Underwater housings for 360 cameras can be expensive and/or hard to find.  However, reader Kimmo Kiiveri shared this ultra low cost DIY underwater housing for 360 cameras, and his housing is immune from refraction.

Kimmo was looking for an underwater housing and it occurred to him to use a plastic water bottle. "I thought that the bottle keeps the water inside so why not the other way round."  And that's exactly what he did -- check it out!



Kimmo added an O-Ring to improve watertightness.  Here are a couple of videos shot with his DIY underwater housing and his LG 360 Cam:

FeiyuTech G360 panoramic gimbal for 360 cameras - unboxing and first impressions

Last week, I received a review copy of the FeiyuTech G360 panoramic gimbal for 360 cameras.  Here is the unboxing, my first impressions, and sample videos! The G360 came with its own zippered semi-hard case, with four different size counterweights, a USB cable and three rubber caps (which cap the end of the support rod for the counterweights).  Here is the unboxing: The G360's design is different because the handle is offset and is not on the same vertical axis as the camera.
